“In 2018 Luton will need 180 extra secondary school places.”

The Chiltern Academy will be run by the Trust that already runs Luton’s two highest performing secondary schools.

In 2018 and beyond there will not be enough secondary school places in Luton.
To meet the demand for extra places the Chiltern Learning Trust is proposing to open a new secondary school in the town called the Chiltern Academy.
We are currently collecting information to measure support for the new school and as part of our application process we must demonstrate to the Department for Education (DfE) that a sufficient number of parents would choose to send their child to the new school.
The Department of Education is particularly interested in seeing how many parents or carers would select the new school as their first choice school.
We therefore need parents and carers to complete the form below. Please note that this is not legally binding and is only used as a measure to gauge interest in the new school.
Important note: We may share this information with the Department for Education as part of our application to open the school but we will not pass on your personal information to any third parties. We may also update you on the developments of the proposed school or request further opinions but this information will not be used for any other purpose. We will not keep your personal information for longer than is necessary in supporting our proposal.
You can view our privacy policy here.

Do you support our intention to enter into a Funding Agreement with the Secretary of State for Education to run the proposed School?

I would select the new school as first preference for my child/children:

In which year would your child need a place?
